The camera has been out for a couple of years now, and with competition from Panasonic with their new Lumix S5II, many are wondering if the stabilisation of the Sony can still compete with Lumix - widely regarded as the king of stabilisation.

Sony has always placed a tremendous emphasis on image stabilization technology, but it seems even with five-axis in-body image stabilization that combines image sensor shift stabilization and a gyroscope, it might be able to handle blurs and jitters but not be able to give you actual gimbal-like motions it falls a bit short.

So what we have done here is take a couple of videos with the footage and different stabilisation settings for you to look and compare with.
