George Miller's post-apocalyptic masterpiece follows Furiosa and Max across the Namibian desert in a relentless chase. Oscar-winning cinematographer John Seale came out of retirement at age 70 to shoot the film, working from over 3,500 storyboards instead of a traditional script. Production designer Colin Gibson conceived over 150 fully functional vehicles, only 88 of which survived filming. The film won six Academy Awards including Best Cinematography and Best Film Editing.
